Insurance is a tricky game, no? Being on the consumer and provider sides, I try my best to help those with insurance understand their benefits, but that is secondary to my primary function as a clinician. Here are the insurances I currently accept:
-Anthem BCBS (including Federal/Beacon/Carelon – recent update to Anthem/Beacon name)
-Sentara Health Plans (formerly Optima Health)
-United Healthcare/Optum/GEHA
-OON Certified Tricare*
Effective 2/1/2022, I no longer accept Aetna. I am unable to accept Medicare plans, and do not accept Medicaid or insurances that are MCOs under the plans above. *I am out of network for Tricare, and can seek out prior authorizations as a Certified Tricare Provider. For all other insurances, I am out of network, and will work with you to provide you with a superbill so that you can seek reimbursement directly from your insurance.
My rates are $170 for intakes/first session, $140 for 60 minute sessions, $120 for 45 minute sessions, and $50 for group sessions billed to insurance. Your insurance will determine what is owed for these sessions, and most are covering telehealth at this time. Please contact your insurance directly to inquire about your coverage and benefits.
